Job Title: Sales Coordinator BESS (Utility-Scale Projects) Location: Goregaon-East Department: Energy Storage | BESS Division Company: Waaree Group Key Responsibilities: Sales & Proposal Coordination: Support the BD team in preparing technical-commercial proposals, RFIs/RFQs, and tender submissions for BESS projects. Maintain up-to-date customer documentation, product specs, and pricing in collaboration with Product and Engineering teams. Track inbound leads, assign priorities, and ensure timely follow-up through CRM tools. Project & Technical Support: Coordinate between engineering, procurement, logistics, and BD teams to gather inputs for solution design and costing. Understand customer project requirements (site layout, application e.g., frequency regulation, solar+storage, etc.) and align deliverables accordingly. Organize and track submission timelines, drawing reviews, and customer clarifications during pre-sales. Customer Engagement & Reporting: Act as the first line of communication for customer documentation, standard queries, and updates on project status. Maintain dashboards and reporting tools for ongoing bids, leads, and sales pipeline tracking. Help organize product demos, site visits, and customer technical sessions. Education & Experience: Bachelors degree with experience in Engineering, EPC, Renewable Energy, or equivalent. 25 years of experience in sales coordination, pre-sales, or technical sales in energy storage, EPC, or power projects. Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with BESS components (batteries, PCS, BMS/EMS,enclosures) and grid-connected project workflows. Understanding of typical project documents (SLDs, datasheets, BOQ, layout plans). Exposure to energy storage tenders (CEA, SECI, DISCOMs, or international). Skills: Strong MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), CRM systems (Zoho/Salesforce), and documentation handling. Excellent communication, follow-up discipline, and cross-functional coordination. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in handling complex, multi-million-dollar bids, with a deep understanding of both technical and commercial dimensions of renewable energy projects. This role is pivotal to the companys growth strategy, requiring a blend of strategic foresight, technical expertise, and operational excellence. The candidate will be responsible for identifying tender opportunities, leading bid preparation, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely and competitive submissions that align with the companys business objectives. Qualifications & Experience Educational Background: B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, or Power Engineering MBA / PGDM in Marketing, Finance, or Operations (preferred) Certifications in Project Management, Contracts Management, or Renewable Energy (desirable) Professional Experience: 1215 years of experience in tendering, proposals, or business development within the renewable energy or infrastructure sector Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in BESS and Solar EPC projects Proven track record of winning large-scale tenders (100 Cr+ preferred) Key Responsibilities Tender Identification & Strategic Evaluation Proactively monitor national and international tender portals, government agencies, utilities, and private clients for upcoming opportunities in BESS and Solar EPC. Conduct detailed analysis of tender documents including RFPs, RFQs, BOQs, technical specifications, eligibility criteria, and contractual obligations. Evaluate strategic fit, technical feasibility, and commercial viability of each opportunity, and present bid/no-bid recommendations to senior leadership. Bid Management & Proposal Development Lead the end-to-end bid process, from initial evaluation to final submission, ensuring compliance with all tender requirements. Develop comprehensive techno-commercial proposals, incorporating engineering designs, execution methodology, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies. Coordinate with internal departments (engineering, procurement, finance, legal, project execution) to gather inputs and validate proposal components. Cost Estimation & Pricing Strategy Prepare detailed cost estimates covering equipment, civil works, installation, commissioning, logistics, taxes, duties, and contingencies. Formulate competitive pricing strategies based on market intelligence, historical data, and margin expectations. Vendor & Stakeholder Engagement Engage with OEMs, technology partners, and subcontractors to obtain quotations, technical clarifications, and commercial terms.
