Role & responsibilities To lead the design and development of end-to-end Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), including integration with Power Conversion Systems (PCS), utilities, and renewable energy sources like solar and DG sets. Lead the system-level design of BESS including PCS (inverters), battery banks, load interfaces, grid/DG/solar power inputs, and utility connections. Prepare and review single-line diagrams (SLD), general arrangement (GA) drawings, and technical specifications. Perform load calculations, sizing of PCS and battery units, and overall system configuration. Collaborate with procurement and project execution teams to ensure the design aligns with BOM, budget, and timelines. Ensure compliance with IEC, BIS, IEEE, and other applicable standards. Provide technical support during pre-sales, proposal engineering, and customer meetings. Engage in vendor evaluation, component selection, and technical validations. Support FAT/SAT, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of BESS systems. Mentor junior engineers and build domain expertise within the team. Preferred candidate profile In-depth knowledge of BESS system architecture. Hands-on experience with PCS, EMS (Energy Management Systems), and battery technologies (LFP/NMC). Strong knowledge of hybrid energy systems and grid interactions. Proficiency in electrical design software such as ETAP, AutoCAD Electrical, and simulation tools like PVSyst, MATLAB/Simulink. Excellent analytical and documentation skills.
