As an AGS Vessel Operations Coordinator, your main responsibilities include coordinating with Principals, Masters, and Owners to ensure smooth vessel operations before and after arrival. Before vessel arrival, you will be responsible for sending Thank You messages to Principals, obtaining pre-arrival information, providing daily ETA notices, updating berthing prospects, and monitoring technical issues. Upon vessel arrival, you will handle tasks such as sending NOR messages, coordinating berthing operations, providing necessary information to the Master, updating stakeholders on operations progress, and issuing Original Bills of Lading if required. You will also be in charge of obtaining cargo figures, coordinating services, and ensuring timely completion of tasks. After vessel operations, you will collect Cargo Operation Documents, send them to stakeholders, and monitor services provided to ships. Post-sailing, you will update the vessel's ATD in the system and prepare PST files for future records. It is important to maintain continuous learning, improve communication skills, and stay updated on industry-related activities. Miscellaneous responsibilities include training coordination, basic communication skills enhancement, continuous learning for self-development, and familiarizing yourself with vessel operations terminologies. PAM training will be provided, and you may need to communicate with Brokers as instructed. Any unusual matters should be promptly escalated to the concerned higher authority. You will be tasked with performing berthing, unberthing, and shifting of vessels at the port using tugs while ensuring the safety of vessels and port assets during these operations. Additionally, you will need to monitor tug usage for the movement of vessels and be well prepared for unexpected manoeuvres and passage impediments by local traffic. Risk management will be a crucial aspect of your role, where you will assess risks for vessel transits, lead emergency responses, and report all near misses and incidents in the approved format. Evaluating navigation channels, berthing facilities, and harbour infrastructure to identify hazards and ensure safe operations will also be part of your responsibilities. Adhering to port regulations and safety standards, maintaining pilotage records, documenting voyages for compliance and analysis, and engaging in training for advanced ship handling and emergency skills are essential for this role. Furthermore, you will mentor junior pilots to enhance team expertise and keep up with digital and AI advancements to enhance business operations and maintain competitiveness. To qualify for this position, you must have a Maritime academy degree or diploma, along with a Master Mariner license/Captain's License. You should have at least 2 years of navigational experience on vessels not less than 150 meters in length and 2 to 3 years of experience piloting vessels LOA from 100 meters to 300 meters at another port. As the person in charge of all berthing, shifting, hauling, docking, undocking, and transferring vessel activities on dry berth, your key responsibilities include reviewing docking plans for technical adequacy, checking the hull contours and structural members of vessels to determine the proper placement of lifting blocks, and developing blocking configurations for all handled vessels. You will need to identify the training needs of subordinates and facilitate their skill development. Additionally, you will be responsible for the maintenance of dredging at the Ship lift and creating infrastructure facilities to meet the operational demands of the shipyard. Your role will also involve executing marine services such as crane operations, workboats management, transporter services, and docking & undocking operations. You will oversee the ship-transfer system operation during docking and undocking processes and review sub-contracting activities and infrastructure-related tasks at the Ship lift.
