As a Datacenter Network Technician L2, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to network infrastructure. This includes conducting tests using tools such as OTDR, LSPM, BER, OSA, and other fiber testing/cleaning tools for configuration, testing, and reporting purposes. You will also be involved in provisioning and installing cables or optics for new circuits, as well as managing physical cabling, cable arrangements, and northbound cabling (Fiber/Copper/Power). Additionally, you will support network and server teams by assisting with rack and stack procedures and cable installations. In terms of Break Fix/Technical Task List, your responsibilities will include testing fiber, identifying high loss/break fibers using tools like OTDR/LSPM/VFL, cleaning and replacing faulty optical cables, and conducting various tests such as Optical Spectrum Analysis and BER testing/MPO fiber testing. You will also be involved in tasks like inserting/removing media, replacing defective components, and assisting with fault diagnosis and investigation, including RMA processing. Configuring remote access, basic storage array setup, and replacing faulty cables will also be part of your role, along with rebooting routers, servers, storage devices, tape management, and maintenance activities. Deployment/In scope Configuration activities will involve working with servers (virtual & physical), storage & backup devices, server/routers appliances, hyper-converged infrastructure, tape storage units, power distribution units, UPS, earthing system, HVAC, network switches, SAN fabric switches, KVM Units, WAN optimization devices, firewalls, access points, routers, physical cabling, and cable management. You will also provide remote assistance to the team and participate in site surveys as needed.,

As a successful candidate for this role, you will have a strong background and proficiency in Building Performance Engineering along with good technical competencies. Your ability to effectively communicate technical issues to both technical and non-technical professionals will play a crucial role in your success within this position. Your primary responsibilities will include creating IES Building Geometry based on architectural drawings and 3D models, reviewing technical information from building regulations and other relevant standards, and conducting Whole Building Performance Modelling. This modelling encompasses various aspects such as Part L Modelling, Daylight Analysis, Overheating Analysis (Part O, TM52, TM59), BRUKL/BRIRL, BER, EPC, CIBSE TM54, as well as heating and cooling load calculations. Additionally, you will be expected to prepare technical reports based on your findings. To be considered for this role, you must possess a Bachelors Degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering, along with 4-5 years of relevant experience. A deep understanding of Building Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy is essential, and prior working experience with IES VE energy modelling software is mandatory. The ideal candidate should also have the capability to model Building Geometry, fabric U-values/thermal mass, detailed HVAC systems, as well as Renewable Energy Technologies and District Heating/Cooling.,
