Key Responsibilities: 1. Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts including vendor agreements, distribution agreements, supply contracts, lease agreements, and service-level agreements. Maintain a contract management system and ensure timely renewals and compliance. 2. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry-specific laws and regulations such as FSSAI, Legal Metrology, Excise Laws, Environment & Packaging regulations. Coordinate with internal teams and regulatory authorities to secure and maintain required licenses and approvals. 3. Litigation & Dispute Management: Support in managing consumer complaints, civil and commercial litigation, labor cases, and regulatory actions. Coordinate with external legal counsel, prepare case briefs, and represent the company where appropriate. 4. Corporate Governance: Assist in drafting board resolutions, maintaining statutory records, and ensuring compliance with corporate governance standards. Support secretarial functions where needed. 5. Intellectual Property: Support trademark registration, renewal, and protection of the companys brands. Monitor and take necessary actions on potential IP infringements. 6. Legal Advisory: Provide legal opinions and advice to various departments including Marketing, Sales, HR, and Procurement. Ensure all marketing campaigns and product packaging comply with applicable advertising and labeling laws. 7. Risk Mitigation: Identify legal risks in business processes and propose strategies for mitigation. Conduct legal awareness and training sessions for internal teams.
