As a Software Test Engineer at our Pune location with 4+ years of experience, you will be responsible for designing and developing an automated testing framework for a variety of tightly integrated web and mobile applications. Your role will involve performing manual functional and exploratory testing, analyzing, writing, and executing test case scenarios using Python, Selenium/Playwright, and Behavioural-Driven-Development technique. Additionally, you will create and execute API tests using the Postman tool. Your key responsibilities will include driving the software test strategy forward to reduce field-found defects and enhance overall quality, security, and performance. You will play a crucial role in supporting the team and ensuring "First Time Right" delivery of the code, thereby being a key team player. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Computer Engineering degree (B.E or B.Tech. or M.Tech.) from a reputed university and possess a minimum of 4 years of experience in software testing, particularly with complex modular platforms deployed globally. You must also be an ISTQB Certified Foundational Level professional and have experience with Behavioural-Driven-Development (BDD) or pytest or Hybrid framework. The ideal candidate will have proven scripting and programming skills to drive automation in QA processes, a strong understanding of software development and testing lifecycle, and knowledge of API testing, Performance testing, Security testing, Usability testing, etc. Familiarity with Agile methodologies, GIT, and continuous integration is essential for enabling continuous deployment. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, are a must-have for this role, along with strong problem-solving abilities.
