As a Software Engineer at Evinova, a subsidiary of AstraZeneca Group, you will have the opportunity to be a part of a team that is dedicated to transforming the lives of billions of patients through innovative health tech solutions. Your role will involve designing and developing full-stack applications that are crucial to the success of the platform. This includes working on backend services, cloud infrastructure, and front-end development to shape core functionality and enhance user experience. Collaborating closely with the Director of Engineering, you will play a key role in defining technical direction, making architectural decisions, and driving initiatives across the platform. Your responsibilities will include building and maintaining web applications and APIs using TypeScript or Java, optimizing scalable backend systems with GraphQL and RESTful APIs, and developing intuitive front-end interfaces using React. Additionally, you will work with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and deliver solutions using frameworks like Express or Spring. To excel in this role, you should have proficiency in Typescript or Java, a strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles, and experience with REST API design and development. Hands-on experience with React, NextJS, and/or Angular, as well as working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, will be essential. Exposure to test-driven development (TDD) or behavior-driven development (BDD), along with strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies, will set you up for success. Desired skills and experience include familiarity with AWS services such as EKS, RDS, Lambda, S3, SNS, SQS, and CloudWatch, as well as experience with Kubernetes, GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipelines, SonarQube or other static code analysis tools, serverless architecture, event-driven systems using AWS Lambda, and data modeling. Awareness of security best practices in cloud-native and distributed applications will be advantageous.
