As a BDS Cosmetology Professional, your role involves specializing in enhancing facial aesthetics through dental and non-dental cosmetic procedures. You will combine dental expertise with facial anatomy knowledge to perform smile design, aesthetic dental treatments, and minimally invasive cosmetic procedures. - Cosmetic Dentistry Procedures - Perform smile design and digital smile analysis. - Conduct aesthetic restorations including veneers, laminates, and composite bonding. - Administer whitening/bleaching procedures. - Correct dental imperfections affecting facial aesthetics. - Facial Aesthetic & Cosmetology Services (Dependent on certification and legal regulations) - Administer Botulinum toxin (Botox) injections for facial lines. - Perform dermal fillers for lip enhancement and facial contouring. - Provide skin rejuvenation treatments such as chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and microneedling. - Offer PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy for skin and hair. - Conduct laser treatments including hair removal, pigmentation correction, and skin tightening. - Perform anti-aging treatments like threads and collagen induction therapy if certified. - Patient Care & Consultation - Conduct a thorough assessment of facial structure and dental-facial balance. - Explain treatment options, results, and risks to patients. - Prepare personalized treatment plans. - Manage pre-procedure and post-procedure care. - Clinical and Administrative Duties - Maintain accurate patient records. - Ensure sterilization and infection-control protocols. - Stay updated with advancements in dental and cosmetic procedures. - Assist in marketing aesthetic services through before-after photos and social media content. Skills & Competencies required for this role include a strong understanding of facial anatomy and aesthetics, excellent clinical and injection skills, good communication and patient-handling abilities, an artistic eye for symmetry, balance, and aesthetic proportions, knowledge of cosmetic products, equipment, and safety protocols, and the ability to work both independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
