As a candidate for the Safety and Security position, you should have a minimum of 18 years of experience along with AVSEC Certification. It is mandatory to have undergone trainings such as Basic AVSEC, AVSEC Instructors, Auditors, Crisis Management & DG Instructor. Your knowledge of ICAO and ICAO Security should be extremely good. Additionally, you must have a proven track record of at least 18 to 20 years in managing a large team of security personnel. Practical experience in the Aviation Industry, specifically Cargo Handling practices, is required. You should also possess hands-on experience in meeting Aviation Security regulatory requirements. Role & responsibilities Planning and Design Assurance is responsible for ensuring that planning and design activities are initiated and completed on time and in line with the organization goals and objectives. This role involves conducting reviews and documenting issues, developing and implementing design assurance procedures, ensuring alignment with internal STRAP, Budget and regulatory approvals / submissions, collaborating with cross functional teams and contributing to continuous improvement in planning and design assurance. Alignment with internal strategies: Implement tasks related to planning and design assurance, ensuring time and budget control of all planning and design activities, including timely initiation and completion of the same after maintaining synergy with internal strategies/commitments to external stakeholders (e.g. 5 year STRAP, annual budget, AERA approvals, mandate from DGCA/BCAS/MoCA/APHO, BoI, Environment Clearance mandate, or any other). The incumbent will also be responsible for ensuring that established procedures and guidelines are followed to ensure alignment with project goals and enhance overall project efficiency. Design Reviews and Documenting Issues: Conduct thorough reviews including entire Planning & Design team (HO and all assets) to identify and document any issues or discrepancies and maintaining records from time to time. Develop and Implement Design Assurance Procedures: Assist in developing and implementing comprehensive procedures and guidelines for design assurance. Support the integration of these procedures into the planning and design processes to ensure consistency and compliance. Provide guidance and support during the implementation of design assurance procedures, ensuring that all processes align with quality and project standards. Regulatory Compliance : As part of overall Planning & Design Assurance, ensuring that timely planning/design action is taken on all mandates of Regulatory Authorities (AERA, MoEFCC/State Environemnt Department, BCAS, BoI, Customs, APHO, etc.) or commitments given to the Regulatory Authorities. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with a wide variety of cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, project managers and external consultants, to ensure time and budget control. Managed overall facility security for gateways, including first mile, mid mile, last mile, and returns Utilized modern fraud detection techniques, such as X-ray scanning, security automation systems, and weight dimension systems. Performed security risk analysis for access control and risk management. Reported and escalated systemic issues to management promptly.
