Job Title: Service Engineer UPS, Battery, and Inverter Systems Ready to field work Reports To : Service Coordinator Experience : 0Months to 4 Years Salary: 18,000/- to 25,000/- Mandatory : Bike (preferred Scotty) Gender: Male No of Openings 5 6 days working, Offices time 9:30am to 7:00pm Location: Mugalivakkam Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Service Engineer with hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Battery Backup Systems, UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply), and Inverter Systems. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of power backup systems, offering technical support, and providing quality services to our customers. Key Responsibilities: Install, configure, and commission UPS, Inverter, and battery systems at customer locations. Perform system integration, ensuring all components are functioning correctly and safely. Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine preventive maintenance of UPS, inverters, and batteries to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. Inspect and test equipment regularly, replacing faulty parts as needed. Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to UPS, inverter systems, and battery failures. Troubleshoot electrical faults, control panels, charging systems, and related components. Provide quick and effective solutions to restore systems to operational status. Customer Support: Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers, addressing their concerns and providing technical guidance. Educate customers on the proper operation, maintenance, and care of their power backup systems. System Upgrades: Advise customers on upgrades, replacements, and improvements for battery, UPS, and inverter systems. Support the planning and execution of system upgrades or replacements to meet evolving power needs. Emergency Support: Respond promptly to emergency service requests and resolve issues efficiently to minimize system downtime. Required Skills and Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field. Experience: Minimum 1 year and above of experience working with UPS, Inverter systems, and battery backup solutions. Hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of power backup systems (preferably in industrial, commercial, or residential environments). Technical Skills:** Strong understanding of electrical and electronic components used in UPS and Inverter systems. Familiarity with battery types, charging systems, and testing equipment. Knowledge of power protection, surge suppression, and load analysis. Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical diagrams and schematics. Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members. Detail-oriented, with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation. Ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations. ### **Preferred Qualifications:* * - Certifications related to electrical systems, UPS, or inverter installations (e.g., electrical safety certifications). - Knowledge of industry safety standards and best practices. * *Physical Requirements: - Ability to lift and move equipment up to [weight]. - Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions (e.g., confined spaces, outdoor installations). - Availability for emergency on-call support during nights or weekends, if required.
