As an EV Technician at Vecmocon, you will be part of an IIT Delhi-incubated deep-tech EV startup dedicated to transforming the sustainable and clean mobility space. Our mission is to make the EV ecosystem smart, connected, and reliable through cutting-edge solutions and a data-centric approach, leading the electric mobility and clean energy revolution in India. Founded by alumni of IIT Kanpur, IIT Delhi, and ISB, Vecmocon is proudly backed by renowned investors Tiger Global and Blume Ventures. In this role, your responsibilities will include a comprehensive understanding of the automotive industry, vehicle models, technical features, service processes of automotive workshops, E-Rickshaws, and Auto Three-wheelers. You will assist in the service maintenance and repair of vehicles, including routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs. Working effectively in a team is essential, following organizational policies and procedures for seamless collaboration with colleagues. Your role will also involve ensuring a safe working environment by monitoring health, safety, and security guidelines at the workshop. You will be responsible for inspecting vehicles according to state requirements for emissions and safety, conducting necessary repairs, and performing test drives to verify functionality. Maintaining accurate paperwork for customers and records, diagnosing electrical components, working on EV wiring and electrical appliances, and installing various electrical hardware will be part of your daily tasks. To excel in this position, you should possess a minimum qualification of ITI, Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical, or equivalents. Your ability to explain problems clearly, follow instructions effectively, and adhere to health and safety regulations will be crucial. Troubleshooting electrical breakdowns, installing circuit breakers, and maintaining detailed maintenance logs are among the key responsibilities you will undertake.
