Battery Development Engineer

As an experienced professional with 4 to 6 years of qualification, you will be responsible for collaborating with cell design engineers and cell suppliers to develop module-level test plans. Your role will involve contributing to creating or upgrading MAN / TRATON cell testing standards and leading discussions with Cross-Functional Teams (CFTs). You will be required to prepare Design of Experiments (DOE) for cell testing, assemble complete test setups for electrical tests on cells, and analyze test data to derive meaningful conclusions, which you will present to CFTs and management. Additionally, in this role, you will need to understand the details of the test rig and provide inputs to recreate real-life abuse scenarios at the test bench, considering boundary conditions for electrical, mechanical, and thermal tests. It is important that you have knowledge of Battery Testing Standards, an understanding of cell working principles, cell internal schematics, terminologies, and cell performance parameters. Good communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with various stakeholders. It would be advantageous to have knowledge of data analysis tools and be flexible for international travel as required.
