As a Software Engineering Lead at UBS, you will play a crucial role in designing and enhancing digital products and technology services for clients and employees. Your responsibilities will include applying various software engineering practices, ensuring quality, security, and compliance of solutions, and monitoring production health to resolve incidents effectively. In an agile operating model, you will collaborate with crews aligned to larger products and services, focusing on the Wealth Management Americas - Banking team in Pune. Specifically, you will contribute to the Deposits business area by building transformational systems in line with the US Banks" strategic objectives. To excel in this role, you should ideally have over 13 years of experience in Java Backend technologies within the Banking domain. Proficiency in Java development using technologies like Spring MVC, Spring Batch, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Cucumber, and Junit is essential. Additionally, you should have hands-on experience in supporting technologies such as Kafka, MQ, Docker, and tuning relational databases for optimal performance. Your role will also involve designing and developing applications using different architecture types like batch systems, event-based systems, and associated technologies like Kafka and MQ. You should have a keen interest in adopting new technologies, adhering to strategic platforms, and making decisions for long-term sustainability. As a strong communicator, you will share your knowledge with colleagues, assist in the hiring process, and actively contribute to the engineering culture and internal communities at UBS. Fluency in English and a Bachelor's degree focusing on building scalable, reliable, and highly available critical applications are necessary qualifications for this position.
