As a Software Project Manager at GKN Automotive in Bangalore, India, you will play a crucial role in leading the delivery of cutting-edge embedded software solutions for next-generation electric drivetrains. Your primary mission will involve driving high-performance software projects with a focus on Functional Safety, Cyber Security, and Base Software, all based on the AUTOSAR platform. You will work closely with global teams and stakeholders from India, Germany, and the USA to ensure the timely delivery of software that will shape the mobility landscape of the future. Your responsibilities will include leading and managing complex software projects for ePowertrain systems from conceptualization to delivery. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan project goals and strategies, oversee software releases, manage change requests, bug-fixes, and debugging cycles, and ensure that the delivery meets quality, timing, and budget objectives. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing international project teams, working with external suppliers, and ensuring compliance with safety, cybersecurity, and internal software development processes. Regular reporting of project status and key milestones to senior stakeholders and customer interfaces will also be a key aspect of your role. To excel in this position, you should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Information Technology, or Mechatronics, along with a minimum of 7 years of industry experience, with at least 4 years dedicated to automotive software project management. A strong understanding of AUTOSAR, Functional Safety (ISO 26262), and Cyber Security (ISO/SAE 21434) is essential, along with experience in leading international teams and working in Agile environments. Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills are crucial for success in this role.
