We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Oral Surgeon to provide specialized oral and maxillofacial surgical services at Bansal Dental Clinic in Peer Muchalla. The Consultant will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of surgical conditions affecting the mouth, jaws, face, and related structures. This is an excellent opportunity to build and contribute significantly to our specialty services and provide essential surgical care to our patient base. Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive oral and maxillofacial surgical care, including extractions (simple and complex, including impacted teeth), dental implants, bone grafting, management of oral cysts and tumors, treatment of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, and facial trauma (basic management). Conduct thorough clinical examinations and utilize diagnostic aids such as radiographs (including panoramic and CBCT, if available) to assess surgical conditions. Develop and implement individualized surgical treatment plans for patients. Perform surgical procedures with precision and adherence to the highest standards of care. Manage post-operative care and address any complications effectively. Administer local anesthesia, and potentially conscious sedation or general anesthesia (if qualified and clinic equipped). Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including surgical plans, consent forms, and post-operative instructions. Ensure strict adherence to sterilization protocols and infection control measures. Communicate effectively with patients about their diagnosis, surgical options, and expected outcomes. Collaborate effectively with general dentists and other specialists within the clinic as needed. Stay updated on the latest advancements in oral and maxillofacial surgery through continuing education and professional development. Maintain professional liability insurance. Required Skills and Qualifications: Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from a recognized institution. Valid dental license to practice in India (and preferably in Punjab or with eligibility for registration). Proven clinical expertise and experience in performing a wide range of oral surgical procedures. Proficiency in surgical techniques, instrumentation, and materials used in oral surgery. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities specific to oral and maxillofacial conditions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex surgical procedures to patients clearly and address their concerns. Empathy and a patient-centered approach to surgical care. Meticulous attention to detail and precision in performing surgical procedures. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with complex endodontic needs. Perform non-surgical root canal treatments using modern techniques and materials.
