Job Summary: Work under Railway Civil Design Lead and prepare the design/detailing of Track work/Ballastless Track design/Transitions of Ballasted & Ballastless track for pre-bid and detail engineering. Key Accountabilities Duty Statements Pre-Bid Design: 1. Review of tender documents & Preparation of Bid documents such as Technical Queries, Method Statements etc. 2. Preparation of Bill of quantity and Responsible for Track related aspects in tendering works. Detail Engineering: 1. Modelling, Analysis & Design of Ballastless tracks, turnouts and crossovers on elevated/ at grade/ Underground stretch. 2. Modelling, Analysis & Design of PSC Sleepers & Special Tracks in Depot such as Embedded Track, Steel/RCC Column Track, Wash Track etc. 3. Modelling, Analysis & Design of Floating slab on elevated and underground stretches. 4. Preparation of Design Basis Reports, Design Calculation Notes for Ballastless Track structures. 5. Preparation of Construction Reference drawings & Shop drawings including: a. Weld Plan b. Slab/Plinth arrangement drawings c. Turnout schedule d. Buffer stops schedule e. Bar Bending Schedule 6. Review of vendor specific documents for turnouts, buffer stops, Fastenings, MSS etc. to ensure compliance to Employers Requirement. 7. Should understand the key technical features of the track components and various ballastless track systems. 8. Should understand the key interface issues involved in the design of track structure for Urban Metros 9. Co-ordination for design and construction interface to solve issues in construction well in advance of design stage itself 10. Review of Alignment designs with basic understanding of track alignment. 11. Familiar with IRS, IS, EN, UIC codes. 12. Aware of RDSO designs and standards such as P-way manual, RDSO issued drawings. 13. Familiar with RSI studies, LWR, CWR, Rail Stresses. 14. Co-ordination with General Consultant or Proof Checker or Client related to design and construction clarifications. 15. Technical support to site at the time of project execution and commissioning.
