Bakery and confectionery chef

• Prepare and bake a wide range of bakery and confectionery products including breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, chocolates, and desserts.
• Develop and test new recipes, ensuring high standards of taste, presentation, and consistency.
• Oversee daily production and manage baking schedules to meet customer or service demands.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the baking area
• Order, manage, and monitor inventory of baking ingredients and tools.
• Train and supervise junior bakers or kitchen staff when required.
• Ensure that all items are produced in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Collaborate with the culinary or management team to create seasonal or promotional dessert menus.
• Handle customer orders, customization requests, and feedback professionally if working in a retail environment.

Requirements:

• Diploma or certification in Bakery, Patisserie, Culinary Arts, or related field.
• Proven experience (3+ years) as a Baker, Pastry Chef, or Confectioner in a professional kitchen.
• Expertise in baking techniques, chocolate work, sugar art, and dessert plating.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen hygiene.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Creativity, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
