As we expand our R&D capabilities at our Ranjangaon facility, we are looking to hire a driven and technically sound NVH Engineer / to lead the design, development, and validation of next-generation acoustic materials and assemblies. Candidate Profile · Experience: o 3–6 years in NVH engineering, materials development, or acoustic simulation/testing in the automotive or materials sector. o Experience working with non-wovens, felts, and thermoplastic composites is highly desirable. · Technical Skills: o Strong grasp of NVH principles , acoustic material properties, and material design for noise control. o Hands-on experience in NVH test equipment , including impedance tubes, reverberation chambers, and transmission loss rigs. o Familiarity with acoustic simulation tools (e.g., VA One, LMS, or equivalent) is a plus. · Education: o B.E./B.Tech or M.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Automotive / Materials / Acoustics Engineering. · Soft Skills: o Strong project management, analytical thinking, and communication skills. o Ability to interact effectively with OEM customers, suppliers, and internal teams. Role Overview We are seeking a driven and eager NPD Engineer to join our New Product Development (NPD) team. The role involves management of new project initiatives in automotive nonwovens, insulation felts and interior part development. The successful candidate will support the NPD department by contributing to design, prototyping, validation, and successful launch of materials and parts into series production Key Responsibilities Support end-to-end new product development initiatives from concept to SOP (Start of Production). Work with CAD drawings for 2D and 3D automotive interior parts, with the ability to open, review, and provide design input with CAD data and summary of proposed changes to OEM customers in required formats. Collaborate with customers and suppliers on part modifications, specifications, and feasibility studies, including any VAVE solutions. Propose and execute development plans including prototyping, testing, validation, and customer approvals. Coordinate with OEM customers, suppliers and tool makers to align project deliverables with their requirements and timelines. Work closely with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and procurement to ensure smooth project execution. Provide technical support during trials and pre-production builds. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field. Experience in automotive interiors and nonwoven components preferred. Experience in part design to meet NVH requirements will be looked upon favorably. Proficiency in CAD software (Catia, NX, or similar) with the ability to interpret 2D & 3D drawings, design / tweak part design (where required). Strong understanding of prototyping, validation, and SOP processes in the automotive domain of major OEMs of India. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with OEM customers and internal teams. Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver under tight timelines.
