Bags Tailor

As a Bag Tailor, you will play a crucial role in crafting high-quality bags from various materials such as leather, canvas, fabric, and synthetic materials. Your attention to detail and expertise in stitching and finishing will ensure the creation of premium bags according to design specifications. Key Responsibilities: - Stitch bags following design patterns and quality standards. - Operate industrial sewing machines like flat-bed, post-bed, and cylinder-bed. - Work with a variety of materials including leather, canvas, denim, faux leather, and nylon. - Cut fabric or leather based on templates and patterns. - Assemble bag components such as zippers, linings, handles, and buttons. - Repair or alter bags as needed. - Maintain quality control throughout the stitching process. - Keep the workspace clean and safe. - Collaborate with designers or production managers for custom or bulk orders. Requirements: - Proven experience as a bag stitcher or similar role (minimum 3 years required). - Proficient in using sewing machines and hand tools. - Understanding of bag construction, pattern reading, and finishing. - Attention to detail and precision in stitching. - Ability to work independently and in a team. - Basic knowledge of bag materials and hardware. - Willingness to work on various types of bags such as backpacks, handbags, totes, and pouches. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working with leather or high-end materials. - Knowledge of hand-stitching techniques. - Exposure to production settings or boutique-level crafting. In the work environment, you will be in a workshop or factory setting, which may involve long hours of sitting and concentration. You will also be exposed to fabric dust and machine noise.
