As an Application Managed Services Engineer (L2) at NTT DATA, your role involves providing a managed service to clients to ensure the operational continuity of their Packaged Application technologies, including ERP, Middleware, and other business-critical software. You will be responsible for proactively monitoring, identifying, investigating, and resolving Application-based incidents, service requests, and alerts to maintain client satisfaction within service level agreements (SLAs). In this position, your primary objective will be to review client requests or tickets and apply your technical and process knowledge to resolve them efficiently. You will focus on second-line support for incidents and requests with a medium level of complexity to ensure the smooth operation and optimization of clients" Application infrastructure and services. Additionally, you may also contribute to or support project work as needed. Key responsibilities of the role include: - Implementing and maintaining multiple SAP instances in the SAP environment, such as development, test, training, and production. - Managing the SAP Correction and Transport System (CTS) to ensure the integrity of the SAP environment. - Introducing technical changes using a structured approach to minimize risk and enhance reliability, availability, and performance. - Designing and implementing an optimal SAP configuration for system performance and availability. - Demonstrating expertise in OS and database systems like MSSQL, HANA, MAXDB, DB2, and Oracle. - Handling Migrations, Upgrades, Builds, and Rollouts of various SAP components. - Monitoring SAP systems, workloads, and performance to maintain efficiency. - Administering the SAP database and applying database maintenance strategies. - Troubleshooting HANA memory bottlenecks and managing workloads effectively. - Ensuring SAP High Availability/Disaster Recovery (HA/DR) and backup/restore technologies are in place. - Planning and executing SAP maintenance activities across all systems through a structured methodology. - Developing and maintaining system documentation for all SAP instances and interfaces. - Collaborating with the team to plan and manage DR tests effectively. Key responsibilities in this role include: - Implementing and maintaining multiple SAP instances within the SAP environment. - Ensuring the integrity of the SAP environment by managing the SAP Correction and Transport System (CTS) effectively. - Introducing technical changes into the environment with a structured approach to minimize risk and enhance reliability, availability, and performance. - Managing and configuring printers in SAP systems to ensure proper print functionality. - Handling non-HANA DB administration and operations, including Oracle, MSSQL, DB2, Sybase, and MaxDB. - Experience in Migrations, refreshes, upgrades, builds, and rollouts of all SAP components. - Distributing the online SAP user workload and monitoring SAP background job workload. - Planning and executing SAP tuning strategies to maintain performance. - Monitoring all SAP systems effectively to ensure optimal operation. - Managing and maintaining databases such as Oracle, HANA, and others, including backups, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. - Troubleshooting HANA memory bottlenecks, tuning performance, and managing workloads efficiently. - Knowledge of SAP HA/DR and backup/restore technologies. - Applying and migrating SAP maintenance through all systems using a structured methodology. - Developing and maintaining system documentation for all SAP instances and interfaces.
