Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented QA Engineer with approximately 3 years of experience in backend testing and API automation. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in validating RESTful APIs, writing automation test scripts, and contributing to reliable and scalable CI/CD testing workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and execute automated test cases for backend services and APIs.

Validate RESTful API responses, performance, and error handling.

Use tools like Postman, RestAssured, Swagger, or similar for manual and automated testing.

Write and maintain test scripts using Java, Python, or other scripting languages.

Collaborate closely with backend developers and DevOps engineers to understand system architecture and integrations.

Integrate automated test cases into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).

Participate in debugging sessions and assist in root cause analysis of issues.

Maintain clear documentation for test scenarios, coverage reports, and defects.

Ensure test environments are set up and configured for backend validation.

Required Skills:

Strong knowledge of RESTful API principles and HTTP protocols.

Hands-on experience with tools such as Postman, RestAssured, SoapUI, or equivalent.

Proficient in at least one programming/scripting language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).

Experience in integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Familiarity with JSON, XML, and database querying (e.g., SQL).

Good understanding of software development and testing life cycles.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with API mocking tools or service virtualization.

Knowledge of performance testing tools.

Exposure to containerized environments (Docker) and cloud services.
