Backend Technical Lead

As a highly skilled and experienced Tech Lead, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating multiple projects across diverse teams. Your primary focus will be on developing efficient processes, executing effective strategies, and ensuring the timely completion of projects. You will architect and tune both SQL and NoSQL databases to handle scale/high transaction volume. Advocating for improvements in product quality, security, and performance will be crucial, as well as solving technical problems of high scope and complexity. Your influence will extend to shaping the overall objectives and long-range goals of your team. Your role will also involve defining and improving internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices in a high-scale web environment. Through code reviews, you will maintain and advocate for these standards. Representing Zupee and its values in public communication concerning broader initiatives, specific projects, and community contributions is an essential aspect of this position. Additionally, you will provide mentorship for Junior and Intermediate Engineers on your team, aiding in their technical growth and removing blockers to their autonomy. You should be capable of confidently shipping moderately sized features and improvements with minimal guidance and collaborating with the team on larger projects. To excel in this role, you should possess knowledge of languages like JavaScript and Python, along with familiarity with frameworks/systems such as Node.js. Strong analytical skills, an understanding of data architecture, software design, and best coding practices are essential. The ability to learn new languages and technologies, familiarity with Agile development methodologies, and working knowledge of Linux are also required. Furthermore, experience with open source frameworks/libraries used in building RESTful services and distributed systems, as well as expertise in architecting and tuning both SQL and NoSQL databases for handling scale/high transaction volume, are key qualifications. A good understanding of message brokers like Kafka and RabbitMQ will be beneficial for this role.,
