Backend IOT Developer

As an experienced backend developer with 5+ years of experience, you will be responsible for developing scalable, API-driven backend systems using Java 17+ and the Spring Framework. Your expertise in containerization with Docker and Kubernetes will be crucial in ensuring efficient deployment processes. Additionally, your familiarity with communication protocols such as Modbus and BACnet, along with tools like Wireshark for packet-level debugging, will be highly valued. Hands-on experience with Azure (preferred) or GCP for cloud services is required, along with a good understanding of observability tools and logging/monitoring patterns. Key Responsibilities: - Develop scalable, API-driven backend systems using Java 17+ and the Spring Framework - Implement containerization with Docker and Kubernetes for efficient deployment - Utilize communication protocols like Modbus and BACnet, along with tools like Wireshark for debugging - Work with cloud services such as Azure or GCP for effective system operations - Implement observability tools and logging/monitoring patterns for system performance analysis Qualifications Required: - 5+ years of experience in backend development - Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills - Proficiency in Agile development and distributed team collaboration - Excellent oral and written communication skills In this role, you will also need experience with edge computing and real-time telemetry in the IoT ecosystem. Familiarity with Cloud IoT Platforms like Azure IoT, AWS IoT, or GCP IoT services will be an advantage. Knowledge of DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code is essential for this position. Experience in handling high-scale systems with petabyte-scale data environments and a willingness to mentor junior developers are also key requirements.
