Backend Engineer (Ruby on Rails)

You will be a Backend Developer at Cialfo, responsible for developing and maintaining robust, scalable server-side applications and APIs. You will collaborate closely with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and performance of applications. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop, maintain, and optimize server-side applications. - Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code. - Integrate data storage solutions like databases, key-value stores, and blob stores. - Implement and maintain RESTful APIs to support front-end functionality. - Collaborate with frontend developers for seamless integration. - Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding, debugging, and performance tuning. - Conduct code reviews and provide feedback for code quality improvement. - Write and maintain detailed technical documentation. - Ensure adherence to security and data protection best practices. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. **Experience:** - Proven experience as a Backend Developer, preferably with a focus on Ruby on Rails. - Proficiency in Ruby and the Ruby on Rails framework or similar backend frameworks. - Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL. - Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3) for basic integration. - Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services. - Experience with version control systems, preferably Git. - Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). - Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., RSpec, Capybara). - Knowledge of modern authentication methods like OAuth and JWT.
