Backend Engineer (Ruby on Rails)

As a Backend Engineer (Ruby on Rails) at our company, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and optimizing the core backend infrastructure for our platform that empowers creators and entrepreneurs in the fashion industry. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop and maintain scalable backend systems using Ruby on Rails. - Design and implement robust RESTful APIs to power our mobile and frontend platforms. - Work with PostgreSQL or MySQL databases to ensure optimal data structure and performance. - Apply Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies to produce reliable and maintainable code. - Optimize system performance and enforce best practices for security and scalability. - Collaborate closely with frontend developers, designers, and product managers. - Take ownership of end-to-end backend features from ideation to production deployment. **Qualifications Required:** - Minimum 2+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails. - Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL. - Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs. - Familiarity with AWS, Google Cloud, or similar cloud platforms. - Proficient with Git/GitHub for version control and team collaboration. - Strong understanding of clean coding practices, scalability, and maintainability. If you have experience with Docker and containerization, exposure to CI/CD pipelines, automated deployment practices, or basic frontend knowledge (e.g., React), those would be considered as nice-to-have skills. Please note that this is a full-time position with benefits including Provident Fund. The work location is in-person in Malleswaram, Bangalore. The schedule is a day shift.
