Backend Developer - Perl

Role Overview: You will be responsible for developing information systems by designing, developing, and installing software solutions as a Backend Developer - Perl Lead. Your primary focus will be on architecture experience and a strong understanding of Perl and/or Go. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, build new software solutions, maintain existing applications, and keep apprised of relevant new technology and best practices. Key Responsibilities: - Build new software solutions and maintain existing applications - Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and objectives - Create, review, and update technical documentation - Write tests to validate code function and execute bug fixes - Measure results of implemented solutions and participate in troubleshooting/triaging of issues - Participate in the incident management process to support overall issue resolution and system restoration - Provide regular status updates that are consumable by leadership and team alike Qualifications Required: - Thorough understanding of Perl - Experience with writing high-performance SQL (Postgres) - Demonstrated proficiency in system architecture and familiarity with databases - Knowledge of the product development life cycle - Exceptional organizational and communication skills - Comfortable working in a Linux environment - Passion for improving software/systems - Good communication skills - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline or equivalent experience,
