Backend Developer

As a backend engineer working with the Core Shopping Experience engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and building highly available and scalable system solutions that power our apps and interfaces across different platforms. Your role will involve contributing to the high-level architecture of various systems, driving technology advancements, and implementing best practices in engineering to ensure the overall success of the product. Your primary focus will be on building a platform that is highly scalable, extensible, reliable, and available. You will drive optimizations to support a growing number of transactions and translate complex business use cases into high-quality, scalable code. Additionally, you will be instrumental in establishing industry best practices in architecture, design, and software development life cycle (SDLC) practices, and promoting their adoption within the team. To qualify for this role, you should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in designing, developing, testing, and deploying large-scale applications using any programming language or technology stack. You should possess the ability to design and implement low latency RESTful services and demonstrate proficiency in at least one of the following languages: PHP, JavaScript, Node, or Python. Conceptual familiarity with a cloud technology stack that includes AWS, real-time message brokers, SQL, NoSQL, continuous delivery, and configuration management is desirable. A strong understanding and experience of working with a wide range of multi-tier architectures will be beneficial in fulfilling the responsibilities of this role.,
