About Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Back-end Engineer with experience of 1-2yrs to join our AI products team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Python and FastAPI, with a strong understanding of RESTful and other API design approaches. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and robust back-end services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance and scalable back-end services using Python and FastAPI.
• Implement and enforce best practices for API design, including RESTful principles and other relevant approaches.
• Design, Build and maintain API gateways for services.
• Work with Docker for containerization and deployment of applications.
• Deploy and manage back-end services on AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define and deliver new features.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.
• Debug and resolve technical issues, ensuring the stability and performance of our systems.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tools.

Key Requirements

• Proficiency in Python:

  Strong command of Python programming language and its ecosystem.

• Expertise in FastAPI:

  Proven experience in building and deploying web APIs using FastAPI.

• API Design Knowledge:

  In-depth understanding of RESTful API principles and experience with other API design approaches,

• API Gateway Implementation:

  Experience in implementing and managing API Gateways.

• Docker:

  Hands-on experience with Docker for containerizing applications.

• AWS Experience:

  Practical experience with core AWS services relevant to back-end development (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway).

• Database Knowledge:

  Experience with relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases

• Version Control:

  Proficient in using Git for version control.

• Testing:

  Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing frameworks.

• Problem-Solving:

  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.

• Communication:

  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Team Player:

  Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Good to Have

• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of asynchronous programming concepts.
• Experience with message queues (e.g., SQS, RabbitMQ, Kafka).
• Understanding of security best practices in web development.
