As a Geospatial Data Analyst in Bangalore, you will be responsible for processing and analyzing geospatial data related to mining, construction, urban planning, and renewable energy projects. Your role will involve integrating geospatial datasets with the image analytics pipeline, developing geospatial visualizations and insights using maps and 3D models, and working with satellite, drone, LiDAR, and GIS data to generate actionable insights. To excel in this position, you should have proficiency in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar tools. Knowledge of spatial data formats like GeoJSON, Shapefiles, KML, etc., and expertise in remote sensing and photogrammetry for image processing are crucial requirements. Strong programming skills in Python or R with geospatial libraries like GeoPandas, Shapely, GDAL, and Rasterio are essential for this role. Experience with Azure services for geospatial data, including Azure Maps for geospatial analytics and Azure Data Lake for storing large geospatial datasets, will be advantageous. Additionally, you should possess strong mathematical and statistical skills for spatial analysis, familiarity with drone and satellite imagery processing pipelines, and knowledge of renewable energy project requirements such as wind turbine siting and solar panel layouts.
