Role Overview

The Infrastructure Specialist Azure DevOps leads continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) for Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions. The role builds automated pipelines in Azure DevOps (and GitHub where applicable) to package, test, and deploy solutions reliably across environments. It governs release workflows, approvals, branching strategies, and artifact management to maintain version control and environment consistency. The specialist integrates automated unit, functional, and regression testing with quality gates to meet enterprise compliance standards. Close collaboration with product, developers, and QA is expected, with work tracked in Jira and documentation maintained in Confluence.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of overall DevOps experience with strong hands-on expertise in Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines, Artifacts).
• Proven experience building CI/CD pipelines for Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform (Dataverse, Power Apps, Power Automate).
• Strong knowledge of solution packaging and deployment (managed/unmanaged solutions), including custom connectors and plugins.
• Proficiency with Git-based version control (Azure Repos or GitHub) and branching strategies (e.g., GitFlow, trunk-based).
• Experience configuring and optimizing release workflows with approvals, multi-stage pipelines, and artifact handling.
• Ability to integrate automated testing (unit, functional, regression) and quality gates into pipelines.
• Experience maintaining environment consistency and configuration (environment variables, connection references).
• Familiarity with Jira (work tracking) and Confluence (documentation).
• Hands-on with YAML pipelines; ability to troubleshoot pipeline failures and implement rollback strategies.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions using Azure DevOps (and GitHub as needed).
• Package, version, and deploy managed/unmanaged solutions, custom connectors, and plugins while ensuring environment consistency.
• Configure and optimize release management workflows including approvals, branching strategies, and artifact handling.
• Integrate quality gates and automated unit, functional, and regression testing to meet enterprise standards and reduce deployment risk.
• Maintain robust version control practices, enforce pull-request policies, and ensure traceability across environments.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams; track work in Jira and document processes in Confluence.
• Monitor and troubleshoot pipeline issues, manage rollback plans, and continually improve pipeline performance and reliability.
