Azure Data Senior Associate

As an Azure Data Stack Senior Associate at Spaulding Ridge, you will be responsible for designing and developing scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, PySpark, and Snowflake. Your role will also involve implementing and managing Azure Synapse Analytics and Snowflake for data warehousing and analytics, configuring and optimizing Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), and collaborating with data scientists to integrate Azure Machine Learning models into production workflows. Additionally, you will write and optimize complex SQL queries for data transformation and reporting across Azure and Snowflake, monitor and troubleshoot data workflows, and work closely with business stakeholders to deliver actionable insights. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, PySpark, and Snowflake. - Implement and manage Azure Synapse Analytics and Snowflake for data warehousing and analytics. - Configure and optimize Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) for structured and unstructured data. - Build and maintain Snowflake schemas, manage data sharing, and optimize query performance. - Collaborate with data scientists to integrate Azure Machine Learning models into production workflows. - Develop and deploy applications using Azure App Services for data-driven solutions. - Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data transformation and reporting across Azure and Snowflake. - Implement ETL/ELT processes and ensure data quality and governance. - Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows, ensuring high availability and performance. - Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver actionable insights. Required Skills & Qualifications: - 6-8 years of experience in data engineering or related roles. - Hands-on experience with Azure Data Stack. - Strong proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Synapse, ADLS, PySpark, and Snowflake. - Advanced knowledge of SQL and performance tuning for large-scale data systems. - At least 3 implementations using Azure stack (ADLS / Synapse / Azure app). - Experience with ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for data solutions. - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with Azure ML would be an added advantage. - Experience with Python for data processing and automation. - Hands-on experience with Snowflake advanced features (Streams, Tasks, Time Travel, Data Sharing). - Knowledge of Power BI or other visualization tools. - Understanding of data governance and security best practices in Azure and Snowflake. - Certifications such as DP-203: Data Engineering on Microsoft Azure or Snowflake SnowPro Core are a plus.
