Role Overview:

Azure Data Architect

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and implement

  Azure-based data solutions

  leveraging services such as

  Azure Synapse, ADLS Gen2, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Purview

  , and related components.
• Design and optimize

  data pipelines

  for ingestion, transformation, and storage using

  ADF

  ,

  Azure Functions

  , and

  PySpark

  for distributed data processing.
• Integrate

  Power BI

  for real-time analytics and dashboarding, ensuring seamless connectivity with Azure data sources.
• Define and enforce

  data governance, security, and compliance standards

  across all data solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical architectures.
• Drive

  performance tuning and cost optimization

  for Azure data workloads.
• Implement

  Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

  using ARM templates, PowerShell, and Azure CLI for automated deployments.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to development teams on

  data architecture best practices

  .
• Maintain documentation and version control using

  GitHub

  and

  Azure DevOps

  .

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 10+ years

  of experience in data architecture and engineering, with at least

  7+ years on Microsoft Azure

  .
• Strong expertise in

  Azure Synapse, ADLS Gen2, ADF, Purview

  , and related Azure data services.
• Hands-on experience with

  PySpark

  for big data processing and distributed computing.
• Proficiency in

  Power BI

  for data visualization and analytics.
• Solid understanding of

  SQL

  , data modeling, and performance tuning for large-scale datasets.
• Experience with

  automation and scripting

  using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and ARM templates.
• Familiarity with

  DevOps practices

  , CI/CD pipelines, and tools like

  Azure DevOps

  and GitHub.
• Knowledge of

  data governance, security, and compliance frameworks

  .
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant certifications such as

  Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate

  or

  Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate

  are a plus.

Nice-to-Have:

• Exposure to

  Microsoft Fabric

  and advanced analytics capabilities.
• Experience with

  real-time data streaming

  using Event Hub, Stream Analytics, or similar technologies.
