As an AWS Data Engineer with a focus on Databricks, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and optimizing scalable data pipelines. Your expertise in Databricks, PySpark, and AWS development will be key in leading technical efforts and driving innovation across the stack. Your responsibilities will include developing and optimizing data pipelines using Databricks (PySpark), implementing AWS AppSync and Lambda-based APIs for integration with Neptune and OpenSearch, collaborating with React developers and backend teams to enhance architecture, ensuring secure development practices especially around IAM roles and AWS security, driving performance, scalability, and reliability improvements, and taking full ownership of assigned tasks and deliverables. To excel in this role, you should have strong experience in Databricks and PySpark for building data pipelines, proficiency in AWS Neptune and OpenSearch, hands-on experience with AWS AppSync and Lambda functions, a solid grasp of IAM, CloudFront, and API development in AWS, familiarity with React.js front-end applications (a plus), strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills, and the ability to work independently and drive innovation. Preferred qualifications include AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, Developer Associate, or Data Analytics Specialty) and production experience with graph databases and search platforms.
