Job Summary:

AWS DevOps Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline, or similar.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability using tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and security teams to streamline build, test, and deployment processes.
• Implement security best practices across all stages of development and deployment.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Optimize costs, improve performance, and ensure compliance in the cloud environment.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, with at least 2 years focused on AWS.
• Expertise in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, ECS/EKS, IAM, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, and others.
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash, Shell).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, or EKS).
• Proficient with version control systems like Git.
• Deep understanding of networking, security, and system administration in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with agile development practices and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or other relevant AWS certifications.
• Experience with observability tools such as ELK Stack, Datadog, or Splunk.
• Knowledge of serverless architecture and event-driven programming.
• Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., HIPAA, SOC2, ISO27001).
