AWS Data Engineer

As a Senior Data Engineer at the Media Data Engineering team, your responsibilities will include: - Building, maintaining, and improving the data infrastructure to handle billions of advertising events every hour - Designing and implementing streaming and batch pipelines for data ingestion and delivery - Curating a data warehouse for business and technical stakeholders - Contributing to GumGum's proprietary machine-learning forecasting systems - Developing scripts and APIs to serve internal and external reporting needs - Investigating and testing emerging data technologies - Collaborating regularly with cross-functional teams - Leading design for medium to large projects with input from other engineers, showcasing an architectural perspective Qualifications required for this role: - 4+ years of experience in data engineering or software engineering - 4+ years of experience building data applications using Scala, Java, and Python - Proficiency in distributed data processing with Apache Spark - Proficiency in SQL and modern data warehouse platforms such as Snowflake, Redshift, Big Query, or Synapse - Proficiency in workflow management platforms like Airflow, AWS Data Pipeline, Luigi, or Prefect - Experience in designing data models, warehouses, and ETL pipelines - Experience with streaming technologies, especially Kafka, is a plus - At least 2 years of experience working with AWS This role offers you the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies, collaborate with diverse teams, and lead projects with an architectural perspective.,
