AWS Cloud Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a senior Cloud Engineer with proven expertise in building and operating multi-region AWS environments. This role demands deep technical skills, a proactive approach to solving complex cloud challenges, and the ability to design secure, automated, and highly available systems.

You will be at the forefront of critical infrastructure engineering, ensuring applications are resilient under pressure, secure by design, and optimized for scale across regions.

What Youll Do

• Architect and manage multi-region, production infrastructure across AWS services (EC2, ECS, IAM, VPC, RDS, Lambda, S3, Route53, CloudWatch, OpenSearch, Bedrock, ElastiCache, ECR, and more).
• Solve complex problems in availability, latency, failover, and disaster recovery to ensure high uptime and compliance with SLAs.
• Apply DevOps & DevSecOps automation-first practices to streamline deployments, governance, and security.
• Build scalable and repeatable IaC solutions with Terraform and Ansible.
• Engineer resilient container platforms using Docker, Docker Compose, and Kubernetes, ensuring workloads run securely and efficiently.
• Administer Linux (Debian/Ubuntu) systems with a focus on security hardening, performance, and automated operations.
• Develop automation tools in Python, Bash, or Shell to eliminate manual operations.
• Configure secure and efficient multi-region networking (VPNs, firewalls, IPv4/IPv6, site-to-site connectivity).
• Implement observability and detection systems using Grafana, CloudWatch, and APM tools to proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks.
• Lead incident response in high-stakes scenarios (e.g. data exfiltration attempts, service downtime, authorization failures) with precision and speed.
• Ensure SOC2 compliance, DR readiness, and secure backups across multiple regions.
• Explore AI-assisted cloud engineering with tools like GitHub Copilot, Codex, and Cursor to accelerate secure automation.

What We’re Looking For

• Hands-on AWS cloud engineering (multi-account and multi-region environments).
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on resilience, scalability, and cloud security.
• Deep knowledge of DevSecOps practices, including IaC security, CI/CD governance, and automated policy enforcement.
• Proven success in designing DR/failover strategies and managing compliance-driven cloud systems.
• Experience with container orchestration (ECS/Kubernetes) in production-grade environments.
• Advanced troubleshooting expertise under pressure for issues spanning networking, security, and distributed systems.
• Scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, or Shell for automation.
• Expertise in Linux systems administration and optimization.

Nice to Have

• Experience with datacenter-to-cloud migrations or hybrid/multi-cloud strategies.
• Familiarity with New Relic, Datadog, or other APM solutions for deep observability.
• Knowledge of AWS Bedrock and AI/ML-powered architectures.
