Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Manager to drive the growth of our Free Trade Warehousing Zone (FTWZ) and customs-bonded warehousing services. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and acquiring new clients, building strong relationships, and effectively communicating the benefits and complexities of FTWZ and customs-bonded warehousing solutions. This role requires extensive client-facing interaction and a deep understanding of import/export processes, customs regulations, and supply chain optimization. Key Responsibilities: Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Identify and target potential clients across various industries (e.g., manufacturing, retail, e-commerce, automotive, electronics) who can benefit from FTWZ and customs-bonded warehousing. Conduct in-depth meetings with executives, supply chain managers, logistics heads, and other key decision-makers to understand their business needs and present tailored solutions. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on warehousing and logistics strategies. Actively network within the industry to generate leads and cultivate a robust pipeline. Product Expertise & Explanation: Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of FTWZ regulations, benefits, and operational procedures. Thoroughly explain the intricacies of customs-bonded warehousing, including customs clearance processes, bond requirements, and compliance. Articulate the value proposition of both FTWZ and customs-bonded warehousing, demonstrating how these solutions can lead to cost savings, improved efficiency, and reduced lead times for clients. Address client queries and concerns related to customs, duties, compliance, and operational aspects of FTWZ and bonded warehousing. Sales & Strategy: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets. Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and quotations to prospective clients. Negotiate contracts and close deals, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements. Collaborate with internal teams (operations, legal, finance) to ensure seamless client onboarding and service delivery. Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and changes in customs regulations to identify new business opportunities. Market Research & Analysis: Conduct market research to identify new segments and opportunities for FTWZ and customs-bonded warehousing services. Analyze client requirements and provide feedback to internal teams for service improvement and development. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or a related field. 2-3 years of proven experience in business development or sales within the logistics, warehousing, or freight forwarding industry, with a strong focus on FTWZ or customs-bonded warehousing. In-depth knowledge of Indian Customs regulations, EXIM policies, and procedures. Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients at all levels. Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven with a strong work ethic. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Willingness to travel extensively to meet clients.
