We are seeking a highly organized, trustworthy, and detail-oriented Inventory & Logistics Specialist to take full ownership of our high-value equipment and component inventory. This role is critical to project efficiency and requires a methodical approach to tracking, receiving, staging, and deploying complex electronics to our installation teams. Key Responsibilities: Maintain 100% accurate, real-time inventory records for all high-value equipment, components, and consumables using our inventory management system (e.g., dedicated software, ERP/CRM). Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical audits to verify system accuracy and investigate all discrepancies immediately. Implement and manage a robust process for tracking serial numbers and managing product warranties. Oversee the receiving and inspection of all incoming goods, ensuring quantities match purchase orders and inspecting for freight damage or defects before acceptance. Establish secure, organized, and clean storage protocols for high-end electronics. Coordinate with Project Managers and Designers to accurately pull, label, and stage complete equipment "kits" for upcoming installations. Manage the check-out/check-in process for all tools and equipment used by the installation team. Work closely with the Purchasing team to track open orders, confirm lead times, and expedite shipments to meet project schedules. Coordinate outbound logistics, including arranging shipping/delivery to job sites and managing third-party freight carriers. Manage the entire Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process for defective equipment, including processing returns, tracking replacement units, and coordinating with manufacturers/vendors.
Responsibilities: • Install and program multi-room audio, home theaters, and video distribution systems. • Set up and configure smart lighting systems (e.g., KNX, DALI). • Program and commission home automation systems using platforms like Savant and Control4. • Install and configure security systems, including CCTV and access control. • Deploy and test residential networking equipment (both wired and wireless). • Perform cabling and wiring (Cat6, speaker, HDMI) according to design layouts and safety standards. • Assemble and wire AV racks, and test signal paths to ensure proper functionality. • Assist with the integration of smart home systems, including motorized blinds and climate control. • Perform basic system testing and troubleshooting. • Help maintain a clean and organized job site and manage tools and inventory. • Follow company protocols for documentation and project reporting. Qualifications: • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in residential AV installation or a similar technical role. • Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of home automation platforms like Control4 or Savant is a plus. A basic understanding of networking and IP-based AV equipment is also preferred. • Practical Ability: Proficient in using standard tools such as drills, testers, and cable crimpers. • Soft Skills: A strong attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential. • Logistics: A valid driver’s license is preferred.
