Job Summary: The Head Accounts is responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting activities of the company. This role involves ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, budgeting, cost control, and financial planning tailored to complex business activities. Key Responsibilities: · Lead the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports. · Monitor project-specific financial performance, ensuring adherence to budgets and financial targets, including profits/losses booked. · Oversee the preparation of financial reports for various projects for internal management and external stakeholders. · Develop, implement, and monitor budgets for projects. · Track project expenses, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions. · Manage cost estimation processes for new projects. · Coordinate with project managers, construction teams and sales team to ensure proper financial processes. · Manage and oversee scheduled payments from flat holders, ensuring timely and accurate receipts as per agreements. · Maintain detailed schedules of vendor's payments, tracking due dates and amounts. · Coordinate with legal and administrative teams to ensure compliance with statutory payments. · Address and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to payments received from flat holders. · Ensure compliance with statutory laws, tax regulations, and accounting standards. · Oversee contract and procurement financials, including payments and billing. · Manage cash flow projections to support project timelines. · Liaise with banks and financial institutions for project funding and financial arrangements. · Lead and develop the accounting team, providing guidance and training. · Coordinate with auditors and ensure smooth audit processes. · Identify financial risks related to projects and implement mitigation strategies. · Ensure proper internal controls are in place. · Maintain effective relationships with clients, vendors, banks, and regulatory bodies. · Provide financial insights and reports to senior management for strategic decision-making. Qualifications & Experience · Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field · Minimum of 8-12 years of experience in accounting/finance, with at least 5 years in the construction industry. · Strong understanding of construction financials, project accounting, and cost control. · Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Tally) and MS Office Suite. · Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills. · Knowledge of statutory regulations and compliance requirements relevant
