AVP Software Development (Team Lead)

You are hiring for an AVP Software Development (Team Lead) position for a client in the Mutual Fund Industry, seeking a candidate with at least 8 years of experience in development. The role requires a hands-on technical leader with expertise in PHP Laravel, who can lead development teams, drive project delivery, and ensure alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements. In this role, you will be responsible for driving end-to-end development using PHP Laravel with a focus on quality, scalability, and performance. You will collaborate with frontend, mobile, and DevOps teams to ensure smooth delivery, guide the team on best practices and architecture decisions, and own project planning and delivery tracking. It is essential to ensure seamless collaboration with business, QA, infrastructure, and external partners, while continuously optimizing processes for delivery speed through automation and reusable components. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, along with at least 8 years of development experience, including 2-3 years in a leadership role. Certifications in Laravel, DevOps, or Project Management would be advantageous. Proficiency in PHP, Laravel, MySQL, API Development (REST/SOAP), Git, and DevOps tools is required, with additional knowledge in ReactJS, VueJS, or Flutter/React Native considered a bonus. A strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and IT governance is necessary, as well as experience in BFSI/FinTech/regulated sectors, preferably SEBI-regulated. As a leader, you will be responsible for team management, task prioritization, cross-functional collaboration, and performance monitoring. You should focus on driving technical excellence, innovation culture, process optimization, automation, and the use of reusable components to accelerate delivery. Strong technical hands-on skills, excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities are essential for success in this role.
