AVP Software Development (Team Lead)

As an Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Software Development and Team Lead, your role involves leading the development function with expertise in PHP Laravel. You will be responsible for driving project delivery, managing team performance, and ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements. Your key responsibilities include: - Driving end-to-end development using PHP Laravel with a focus on quality, scalability, and performance. - Collaborating with frontend, mobile, and DevOps teams for smooth delivery. - Guiding the team on best practices, coding standards, and architecture decisions. - Owning project planning, task allocation, and delivery tracking. - Ensuring seamless collaboration with business, QA, infrastructure, and external partners. - Continuously optimizing processes to improve delivery speed using automation and reusable components. - Ensuring compliance with SEBI regulations, IT audits, VAPT, and data security requirements. - Mentoring and upskilling the team to drive technical excellence and innovation culture. Qualification & Experience: - Bachelor's or Masters in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. - 8+ years of experience in development, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role. - Certifications in Laravel, DevOps, or Project Management are a plus. - Technical skills required: PHP, Laravel, MySQL, API Development (REST/SOAP), Git, DevOps (CI/CD, Docker, Cloud). - Bonus skills: ReactJS, VueJS, Flutter/React Native (basic knowledge). - Process knowledge: Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and IT governance. - Domain experience: Preferably in BFSI/FinTech/regulated sectors with knowledge of SEBI regulations. - Leadership skills: Team management, task prioritization, cross-functional collaboration, and performance monitoring. - Innovation focus: Process optimization, automation, and reusable components to speed up delivery.
