AVP Product Controller - Fixed Income

**Role Overview:** Jefferies Financial Group Inc. is seeking a skilled and experienced individual like you to join their team as a Product Controller. As a Product Controller at Jefferies, you will be responsible for various core product control functions, month-end work, and additional responsibilities to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct daily product control activities to ensure accurate financial reporting. - Produce formal PL reports and review balance sheets, making necessary allocations. - Address queries from stakeholders such as Controllers, Operations, Front Office, and Audit in a timely manner. - Solve daily reporting challenges efficiently and accurately. - Perform month-end tasks including general ledger substantiation and reconciliation of reported P&L to ledger. - Analyze income statements and balance sheets, providing insightful commentary. - Contribute to month-end reporting packs and respond to stakeholder MI requests. - Post or review journal entries for accuracy. - Enhance and challenge existing controls and processes to improve efficiency. - Participate in the new business approval process and provide coverage for the Controllers Team. - Engage in project work to support continuous improvement initiatives. **Qualifications Required:** - Minimum 6-8 years of product control experience in the Financial Services industry. - Experience with Securitized Products and associated Financing activities is essential. - Proficiency in Excel and ability to work with large datasets. - Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to present to senior leadership. - High attention to detail and proven track record of improving controls and P&L production processes. - Prior experience in improving controls and processes. - Ability to prioritize workload effectively to meet daily and monthly deadlines.
