Role Overview: As an Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Analytics for the Health & Wellness (H&W) Platform at Synchrony, your role as an individual contributor will involve supporting and growing the H&W platform business by providing strategic and scalable solutions. You will collaborate with functional teams on key business priorities, deliver high-impact projects, and work closely with the India Analytics Hub (IAH) and US Analytics teams. Your responsibilities will include being a thought leader, problem solver, and delivering actionable insights for the business. Key Responsibilities: - Support the Health & Wellness platform business and analytics stakeholders in making informed decisions through data, analytics, and insights - Proactively discover, lead, and solve open-ended/ambiguous business problems using basic to advanced analytics/data science tools and techniques - Work hands-on to derive insights from data, automate critical processes, and provide actionable recommendations for effective decision-making - Lead projects by ensuring timely delivery, accuracy, and documentation in line with audit procedures - Contribute to internal initiatives, perform other duties, and special projects as assigned - Demonstrate project management skills and the ability to handle multiple initiatives effectively Qualification Required: - Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or any other quantitative streams with 4+ years of hands-on relevant analytics/data science experience; or in lieu of a degree, 6+ years of hands-on relevant analytics/data science experience - Minimum 4+ years of hands-on SQL/SAS programming experience and ability to leverage algorithms like Decision Tree, Regression, and handle complex/large data efficiently - Experience with Business Intelligence and Reporting tools such as Tableau/Power BI - Experience in campaign performance measurement, customer targeting framework, synergy of multiple functions, and creating/connecting KPIs - Proven ability to design and lead strategic projects, work independently, and collaborate as a key member of a broader team - Effective communication skills (verbal, written, presentation) and ability to lead analytics with senior stakeholders - Experience in the credit card or financial services industry - Ability to manage tasks and projects effectively with competing priorities Additional Company Details: Synchrony (NYSE: SYF) is a premier consumer financial services company known for delivering a complete digitally enabled product suite across various industries.
