Senior Civil Engineer (Residential Projects) — 10+ Years Experience Immediate opening for a highly experienced Civil Engineer to lead and oversee end-to-end residential project execution. The ideal candidate has deep, hands-on expertise in structure, brickwork, slab levels, plastering, finishes, and all core construction activities for apartment/low-rise residential developments, with a proven track record of delivering quality on time and within budget. Role summary Position: Senior Civil Engineer (Residential) Experience: 10+ years in residential construction (mandatory) Employment: Full-time, onsite Location: Hyderabad, Telangana Reporting to: Project Manager/Director Compensation: Competitive, based on experience Key responsibilities Project planning and execution Prepare and monitor project schedules, work breakdown structures, and daily/weekly targets. Sequence and supervise activities across excavation, foundations, RCC works, brick/block masonry, slab levels, plastering, waterproofing, flooring, and finishing. Ensure alignment with drawings, specifications, and method statements at every stage. Structural works Oversee shuttering, reinforcement, and concrete works for footings, columns, beams, and slabs. Verify bar bending schedules (BBS), cover, compaction, curing, and core cube testing compliance. Coordinate with structural consultants for RFIs, deviations, and site rectifications. Masonry and plastering Manage brick/block work lines, plumb, leveling, mortar ratios, and joint quality. Control internal/external plastering thickness, line and level, coves, grooves, and curing protocols. Inspect and approve scaffolding, safety measures, and surface preparation. Slab levels and finishes Set and verify reference benchmarks, datum levels, and slab camber/level checks. Supervise screeding, PCC, RCC, and finishing layers to achieve tolerance requirements. Coordinate with MEP for sleeves, embeds, and openings before slab casting and finishing. Quality assurance and control Implement and maintain ITPs, checklists, and stage-wise inspections. Conduct material testing (cement, sand, aggregates, bricks/blocks) and approve vendors. Ensure workmanship standards for waterproofing, tiling, doors/windows, and paint/putty. Site coordination and documentation Lead daily toolbox meetings; allocate tasks to supervisors, foremen, and subcontractors. Maintain DPRs, MPRs, material reconciliation, pour cards, and QA/QC reports. Certify measurements, verify contractor RA bills, and control wastage. Safety and compliance Enforce HSE practices, method statements, and permit-to-work systems. Ensure statutory compliance, local bylaws, and adherence to approved drawings. Stakeholder management Liaise with architects, structural and MEP consultants, PMC, vendors, and client representatives. Provide timely progress updates, resolve site issues, and drive closure of snags. Required qualifications and skills Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Civil Engineering; Master’s optional. Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in residential projects (apartments, villas, or group housing). Strong command over: Structural execution, BBS, concrete technology, slab levels, and tolerance control. Brick/block masonry, plastering techniques, waterproofing systems, and finishing standards. Reading and interpreting architectural, structural, and MEP drawings. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project/Primavera (basic scheduling), and MS Office. Familiarity with IS codes, QA/QC checklists, and construction safety standards. Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and vendor/subcontractor management skills. Track record of delivering projects within time, quality, and cost parameters. Nice-to-have Experience in high-rise residential RCC frames. Exposure to aluminum formwork/ply shuttering systems.
