Position Overview: Boeing India Defense team is currently looking for Experienced Field Service Representative (FSR)- Defense to be based out at New Delhi, India. Boeing has a multi-year support contract with the aircraft owner/customer. The FSR, in addition to tasks described below, is the Boeing customer facing representative. All day-to-day communication typically flows through the FSR. FSR position includes a short daily meeting in the evening to convey relevant issues to the program team in US. Provide hands-on troubleshooting and technical assistance to support organic aircraft field maintenance personnel as required. Provide aircraft specific technical knowledge, interface relationships, maintenance procedural advice, associated troubleshooting guidance, incidental repair assistance, as well as task dependent technical/engineering data or drawing retrieval to support customer personnel Emphasize safety aspects to be observed on Boeing 737 series and similar aircraft. Provide guidance and recommendations to support Service Letters, Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives, as required. Participate in meetings with the customer and other contractors as required. Coordinate on-site support visits and meetings with senior IAF leadership Assist customer in getting proposals/price quotes for product and services provisioning and submission of invoices for release of payments. The ability to obtain an Indian Security Clearance allowing access to customer is required. Analyze maintenance difficulties and recommend changes to design, operation, maintenance, inspection, and training to improve the level of maintenance. Assist the aircraft customer in completing accident investigations and failure reports. Participate in technical reviews as requested by the customer. Facilitate component spares, repairs and exchange transactions including the following: Coordinate requirements with customer Coordinate with the customer to export and import components as required Work with freight forwarders/shipping companies to import/export components including coordinating with customer on transactional activities Provide technical and operational content for warranty and spares issues. Assist customer in receipt quality inspection for airworthy spares/materials and resolving issues pertaining to discrepancies in supply, if any. The customer relies on Boeing-provided supplier support for aircraft and ground support equipment maintenance. Boeing puts suppliers on contract to perform required tasks. Due to the security requirements of the aircraft location the FSR will assist with suppler access including coordinating security clearances with the customer. The FSR role includes a significant aspect of managing customer airplane software. Familiarity with MBF (including admin role) is key to providing on time SW uploads, Maintenance Performance Toolbox (MPT), Managed File Transfer Transfer (MFT) accounts for delivery of LSAPs/TBR packages and other support as required. Your impact As an Aircraft Maintenance Controller you will support the maintenance, repair, and the return to service of the Intelsat WiFi system onboard customer aircraft. You will ensure that all work performed is accomplished in accordance with all company, airline partner, and FAA regulations while leveraging your knowledge in all facets of aircraft maintenance including electrical and avionics equipment installations. What you will do In coordination with the Sr Manager, Supervisors, and Aircraft Maintenance Controllers, coordinate repair and testing of installed equipment on aircraft. Interpret technical manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering orders and other technical data in support of the installation and repair of installed systems. Accomplish, track, and monitor new software rollout and implementations. Support new and retrofit tail activations. Provide technical assistance and fault isolation expertise to aircraft maintenance technicians. Monitor and correct repetitive and chronic aircraft discrepancies. Review historical aircraft data and develop maintenance action plans. Coordinate with maintenance planning teams to arrange ground time, manpower, engineering resources, and parts required to address aircraft outages and chronic maintenance issues. Report on daily fleet performance. Track long term out of service events. Collaborate with stakeholders to address high-priority technical issues. Accomplish yearly OKRs to meet key company metrics and goals. Acts as a customer service professional while supporting our airline partners. Your required experience/skills Associates degree in a relevant technical discipline. A valid FAA Airframe Certificate. At least 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance including electrical and avionics installations on jet powered transport aircraft. Ability to work flexible work schedule including shift, weekend, and holidays. Pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test Ability to address and troubleshoot problems associated with aircraft-based equipment. Computer skills including Microsoft Office, and LINUX. Effective English language skills both written and verbal. Strong skills in reading electrical schematics. The role holder will supervise daily line station operations in the process of providing inspection and repair services on aircraft. Responsible for dispatching all overnight aircraft with guaranteed 100 percent seat functionality at departure. Since seat guarantees are an integral part of Panasonic Avionics Maintenance Services, the staffing and scheduling of site personnel and their functions are paramount to the success of the company. Maintenance Operations Schedule site personnel to weekly shift patterns pursuant to the customer's flight schedule. Direct Inventory Control and local logistics of customer and Panasonic Avionics-owned capital assets. Schedule preventive maintenance activities of systems installed on customer aircraft during over night holds; Office management of local site specific responsibilities which includes local port Authority personnel identification administration, Customs clearance and security seals, overtime, vehicle maintenance, office administration and cleanliness. External contacts include routine daily customer contacts at the Line Maintenance levels, local airport authorities including Customs, Air Freight forwarders and brokers for local logistics. Internal contacts include MMS Personnel, MMS Administration Staff, H.R. and other Panasonic Avionics departments as required to execute the MMS agreements specific to the site. May also perform onboard maintenance activities and fill-in for absent employees. Supervisory Hire, train, supervise, and appraise direct reports. Qualifications What We’re Looking For: Hold a valid Indian DGCA CAR66 Aircraft License / Authority or equivalent required to certify customers on different aircraft types/systems at the assigned location. 3-5 years lead/crew chief/ supervisory experience. Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook (MS products). Good communication skills. Ability to solve problems as they occur on the local level, not allowing the issue to progress further. Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures.
