As an electrical CAD designer/draftsman/technician at Jacobs, you will have the opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary project team, taking instructions from team members while also being able to work independently. Your understanding of Safety In Design principles will be crucial as you design drawings according to markups and specifications. You will be responsible for translating hand drawings and sketches into CAD systems, reading and interpreting designs, and creating work methodologies and strategies. Documenting and updating all drawings will also be part of your role, ensuring compliance with the company's quality-assured delivery processes. Key Skills required for this position include relevant experience in Water, waste water, Utility corridor development/Smart city Infrastructure, and Aviation projects. You should be proficient in preparing electrical drawings for various design stages such as diagrams, layouts, cable routing, lighting, earthing, and lightning protection layouts. Working in a multidisciplinary design team environment, attention to detail, and accuracy are essential qualities. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and 3D modeling software like Aecosim, REVIT, and/or Civil 3D is also expected. An understanding of relevant National and International industry electrical standards is necessary. Minimum Requirements for this role include a Diploma degree in electrical engineering and a minimum of 10+ years of experience in CAD drafting & 3D modeling in the specified project domains. Experience in Middle East projects is desirable.
