As an Automation Engineer at our company located in Gurgaon, you will be responsible for planning, installing, and managing automation systems for homes and commercial properties. Your role will involve hands-on knowledge of wiring, system integration, and smart device setup. It is crucial that you can collaborate effectively with clients, designers, and technical teams to ensure successful project execution. Your key responsibilities will include designing and implementing automation systems for lighting, AV, HVAC, security, and energy management. You will be expected to install and configure smart devices, controllers, and sensors, as well as handle wiring layout and system mapping for both new and existing sites. Integration of products using platforms like KNX, Zigbee, Z-Wave, Modbus, Control4, Alexa, Google Home, among others, will be a key part of your daily tasks. Troubleshooting system issues, providing ongoing maintenance, and coordinating with architects, interior designers, and electricians during project execution are also essential aspects of the role. Additionally, you will be responsible for training clients on system usage. To excel in this role, you should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in home or commercial automation. A strong knowledge of smart platforms such as KNX, Control4, Home Assistant, and familiarity with AV brands like Marantz, Cambridge Audio, Q Acoustics are required. An understanding of networking, IP setup, cable management, and the ability to read and create technical drawings and wiring diagrams are also important skills for this position. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are necessary to effectively fulfill the responsibilities of this role. Preferred qualifications for this position include a degree or diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or related fields, certification in automation platforms (e.g., KNX, Control4), and experience in both residential and commercial projects. This is a full-time, permanent position with a day shift schedule.
