Automation Tester

Role Overview

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Python and Playwright, with the ability to design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for enterprise-scale applications.'

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Playwright and Python
• Develop end-to-end automated test scenarios for functional, regression, and integration testing
• Ensure high automation coverage across core modules and APIs
• Participate in sprint activities, including story grooming, test planning, and test execution
• Troubleshoot test failures and collaborate with developers to resolve issues
• Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing
• Prepare test reports and share insights with QA leads and stakeholders
• Contribute to improving automation frameworks, best practices, and code quality

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience: 3-5 years in automation testing
• Automation Tools: Strong hands-on experience with Playwright (web automation)
• Programming: Proficient in Python for writing automation scripts and utilities

Testing Expertise:

• Functional, regression, and integration testing
• API testing using Postman / Python libraries
• CI/CD pipeline integration (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar)
• Strong understanding of test frameworks, automation design patterns, and debugging techniques
• Ability to work in fast-paced, agile product teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with performance testing tools or frameworks
• Familiarity with retail, supply chain, or enterprise platforms
• Knowledge of version control tools such as Git
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is a plus
