Automation Tester

We are looking for a skilled Automation Tester to join our TCoE team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications. You will work closely with developers, QA engineers, and business stakeholders to build robust and scalable test automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, TestNG, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
• Design automation frameworks for UI, API, and backend testing.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
• Collaborate with manual testers, developers, and product owners to understand test requirements and build reusable test components.
• Analyse test results, debug issues, and report defects in test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Zephyr).
• Maintain and enhance automation frameworks to support regression and continuous testing.
• Ensure cross-browser, cross-platform compatibility for web and mobile apps (if applicable).
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and estimation.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in test automation.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium (for mobile), or similar.
• Good understanding of testing frameworks like JUnit, TestNG, Mocha, or PyTest.
• Experience with API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured, etc.).
• Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, Docker, and CI/CD workflows.
• Excellent debugging and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with BDD tools (Cucumber, SpecFlow).
• Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling).
• Knowledge of cloud-based testing platforms like BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or AWS Device Farm.
• ISTQB or other QA certification is a plus.
