QA Automation Engineer Job Overview: The Quality Assurance engineer will be the primary resource for exploring and implementing innovative methods to automate systems support and ongoing maintenance for Human Capital Management (HCM) information applications, leveraging our Open HCM platform. Key Responsibilities: Implement and configure application functionality, including user interfaces, business rules, workflows, and complex logic. Troubleshoot customer and product issues to identify product gaps, ensuring alignment with customer needs and expectations. Compile and communicate customer product issues to Quality, Engineering, and Product team stakeholders. Act as the primary point of contact for all quality-related aspects within the team. Provide continuous support to the development team to improve testing processes. Identify and review test scenarios to ensure high test coverage for each release. Help set up test environments with high-quality data, covering all user cases. Provide Engineering leaders with product insights based on issues resolved. Minimum Qualifications: 5 to 10 years of overall experience in an IT organization. Masters or Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field. Experience with automation tools, preferably Selenium. Ability to develop/enhance automation frameworks and scripts. Log issues following the issue management process using defect management tools. Participate in the release management process to ensure quality in each release. Understanding of the CICD process and Jenkins integration is a plus. Strong understanding of business requirements and ability to identify use cases for writing functional and persona-based test cases. Ability to design, write, and execute automated tests. Strong technical skills and proficiency in at least one scripting language. Significant experience in writing test strategies, test plans, test cases, and reporting defects. Good knowledge of various testing methodologies and agile methodologies. Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Good knowledge of databases and ability to write scripts for data retrieval. Good functional/domain understanding of the current project. Experience with POCs on automation, macros, and HCM domain knowledge is a plus. Preferred Qualifications: Experience building Human Capital Management, Business Process Management, or Enterprise Resource Management tools. Knowledge of Selenium and Cucumber. Experience with Agile software development methodologies. Experience in automation testing, specifically in BDD or TDD methodologies. Experience coordinating various technical groups for dependency and roadmap alignment. Ability to quickly develop proficiency in new skills. Experience in a startup or high-growth technology environment.
